show up for your self

hi you,

i know you want to show up for your self.

i know there are things you long to do

things you wish to shift or change

things you are waiting for

things you want for your self or your life.

i also know that it’s hard…

there’s a lot weighting you down

there are so many things that need you attention, your time, your energy

and because you care deeply, and love so big, and give so much

you (and what you want) get bumped down the list.

here’s what i want you to know for sure:

you deserve to struggle less and show up for your self more.

you are worth that. you actually must prioritise that!

also know this:

that voice inside that just chimed in…

i know, but

i want, but

i wish, but

that voice is not the real you…. your truest self, your favourite self.

that is the voice of struggle.

the yah buts

the what ifs

the rules, the shoulds, and the shouldn’ts

…it’s all from the parts of us really struggling in the current situation.

those struggling parts are trying to help you

manage, control, cope, be safe, not fail, not hurt, not fall apart

(gosh, isn’t that so so sweet! our struggling parts are doing their best to help us.)

but they are working off old stories, old information, old definitions and rules and expectations and patterns and tools.

so how about we try this:

first. breathe. find inside your most favourite self. your soul self. wise self. your creative, confident, courageous, capable, compassionate, connected self.

(oh, hiiiiii. there you are.)

remember that self. nurture that self. strengthen that sense of self.

remember who you want to be… who you are here to be.

remember your inherent worth, you inner light, your gifts… your brilliance.

remember what your SELF needs, wants, desires… loves!

and then… act from that place.

call a team meeting… team self, please gather around:

i have so much compassion for my struggling parts, for those versions of me with their buts and their rules, but that’s not how i want to show up for my life.

this is who we are being

this is what we are here to do

this is what we want

this is what we prioritise

this is how we are showing up in the world

in other words…

your struggle does not define you and does not get to drive the bus… let self drive, let self lead.

remember this:

every time you show up for your self – even in tiny ways, even while you are struggling with hard things – and no matter how many times you forget or have to try again – you are building trust in your SELF… in the version of you that you say you want to be.

show up for you. do that for YOU. what you want matters and you are the one you can count on.

love,

your favourite self.
